Game of the Month- March 2019
Munchkin has been around since 2001 and is still going strong! A fast paced card game based on killing monsters and messing with your fellow players so that you can become the most powerful Munchkin you can be!
Game of the Month- Feburary 2019
“Love Letter is a game of risk, deduction, and luck. Designed by Seiji Kanai, the game features simple rules that create dynamic and fun player interactions. Players attempt to deliver their love letter into the Princess’s hands while keeping other players’ letters away. Powerful cards lead to early gains, but make you a target. Rely on weaker cards for too long and your letter may be tossed in the fire!”
Love Letter is a face paced card game, perfect for family fun! My favorite expansion is the Lovecraft Letter. Much like Dungeon Mayhem, the game plays well with 3 players but is just as fun with 6.
Game of the Month- January 2019
Looking for a fun dungeon crawling tile game with amazing miniatures, fantastic replay value, and lots of expansions? Masmorra, and its parent game, Arcadia Quest, have it all!
We’re playing this a lot on Family Game Nights and we love it more each time. You can play with the miniatures and hero cards that come with the basic set and have the dungeon of Masmorra be a stand alone game or add heroes and scenarios with the Arcadia Quest expansions. The miniatures are primed and ready to paint so the heroes are ready for customization.
Game of the Month- December 2018
Gloom has always been one of my favorite games and I recently got to show it to our gaming family on one of the Family Game Nights. Doug has fallen in love with it. The world of Gloom is populated by over-the-top Gothic style horror to the point of absurdity. The point of the game is to make the lives of your family as miserable as possible before giving them the sweet relief of death while making your opponents’ families as happy as possible.
It’s fast to learn, fast to play and with a wide range of expansions, it has large possibilities for varied strategies. Atlas Games has recently teased that they will be releasing a Special Edition Deluxe version, hopefully in time for Christmas.
Game of the Month- November 2018
We played this on our first Family Game Night and we loved it! Fast game play, easy to learn, and it’s spawned a few long lasting jokes. We highly recommend this game for some after-Thanksgiving fun.
